After last years elections and few changes this year, we are delighted to officially announce our full committee starting with the President Adam Geele and Vice-President Jake Bowdler who have been working extremely hard over the summer and at the start of this semester in order to make this year a successful one!

Both are 3rd year straight LLB Law Students with the aims of becoming solicitors and have been involved in the Law Society during their first and second years at the University of Hull through the various competitions and schemes we offer.
I, Sebastian Palmer, shall be continuing in my role as Communications Officer whilst also looking after the Competitions Representatives, Pro Bono Co-ordinator and Representatives as part of my duties as an executive committee member. I am glad to be carrying on a role I thoroughly enjoyed last year and hope to build on what I achieved.
The position of Treasurer and Social Secretary shall be taken up by Jessamine Howell and Gabriella Smith respectively along with help from our Diversity Representative, Erunse Idemudia, who have already confirmed with Mexican Bar El Chupitos for our fortnightly socials which includes discounted drinks, free entry to The Piper Club and much more.
Next comes our 1st, 2nd and 3rd Year Representatives taken up by Anotidaishe Manjanja, Chloe Crooks and Jessica Fairburn respectively, who's roles involve advertising events, keeping students informed of opportunities which will be of benefit to their future careers and ensuring the society takes on-board students opinions and thoughts when making decisions. Both Chloe Crooks and Jessica Fairburn have transitioned from previous roles on the committee resulting in a quick and easy start for all 3.
Kimberley Elgar will be staying on as our Negotiations Representative after the incredible work she did with last year's competition in association with Gosschalks. Our Client Interviewing Representative will be taken up by one half of last year's finalist Katherine Coates, a 2nd year LLB law student who also works for the Citizens Advice Bureaux in her spare time. Both are 100% dedicated to their roles and have already began preparations for the competition's start in August.
We are also thrilled to announce the continuation of the Essay Writing Competition as part of our Law Journal with the Law Journal Co-Ordinator this year being Charlotte Houghton-Birkett. Charlotte who works for Pepperells Solocitors as well as being in the final year of her LLB law degree will be making an announcement soon about how to enter the competition and where to find all the information you need.
The final member of our committee are the Pro Bono Representatives and Co-Ordinator. There will be several changes to the schemes this year, an announcement will be coming soon, with regards to the content and how the overall schemes work. Your Co-Ordinator is Jude Bennetts, with Liyba Bilal, Chetna Gorania and Heather Peacock being your Young Offenders, (formally Prisons), Asylum Seekers and Schools Representatives.
