Competitions
The Law Society holds a number of competitions and schemes that will add to and complement your career.
These competitions are Advocacy, Client Interviewing Mooting and Negotiations.

You can attend the Introduction Meetings and Workshops to these competitions and schemes without being a Law Society member. However if you then decide that one or more of these competitions are for you, then YOU MUST BE A PAID MEMBER OF THE LAW SOCIETY in order to enter.

To enter any of our competitions, please email us at lawsochull@gmail.com with your full name, year, degree and confirm you have joined the Law Society.
Dates
In semester 1, we will be running “crash courses” to give those who have not previously competed in the competitions. This is a great opportunity to take part in a non-competitive environment and gives you the chance to hone in on the skills needed for them.

Dates for all of the competitions will be announced via the latest news and social media.
Transferable Skills
The competitions are great fun and we encourage everyone to get involved, even though they can be a bit stressful at times. They look fantastic on your CV and are essential if you would like to pursue a career in law. Even if you are not pursuing a career in law, they still demonstrate a vast array of skills and the willingness to challenge yourself which can be applied in all aspects of life.
