Rollits Essay Writing Competition

As mentioned in briefly in previous posts, the Law Society are running an essay writing competition with this year's sponsors being Rollits. As a result of this partnership, we are grateful Rollits have agreed to give the winner of this competition a whole TWO WEEKS worth of work experience on their summer vacation scheme!

The deadline for sending your essays in is 15th February 2019 at 10AM giving you plenty of time after exams. There is a strict 1000 word limit and all entries must be emailed to us at - lawsochull@gmail.com. The questions are as followed:

1. Should the UK reinstate Capital Punishment into our Criminal Justice System as punishment for murder? 2. What protection and rights do the European Prisoners who are currently held in UK prisons have once the UK leaves Europe? 3. Should we make physician assisted suicide legal in the UK for terminally ill patients 4. If you could change any area of the law, which area would it be and why? 5. With the progress for rights, should they be extended further than humans, if so what would be the applications of such?
